Insurance Information

All insurance companies have required guidelines for replacement parts. In some cases, used parts are required and other cases, companies allow use of aftermarket parts and OEM (original equipment) parts. We work closely with each insurance company and follow their guidelines to repair your vehicle correctly.

If the part is NOT one that we will offer our lifetime warranty on, it will not be used in the repair of your vehicle.

We will work diligently on your behalf, as our customer, to assure that your vehicle is returned properly to Pre-Loss condition and all accident-related damages will be repaired.

Direct Repair Status

We can reduce the hassle of an accident by working directly with the insurance company during the estimate and approval process. McDonald Autobody has solid business relationships and a Direct Repair status with Shelter Insurance, GuideOne Insurance, Missouri Farm Bureau and many others.

  • We work for you, but coordinate with the insurance companies to follow their established guidelines.
  • We are a one stop shop and serve as a temporary direct repair site, by acting as an adjuster, take pictures, evaluate your vehicle’s damage and file a report to the insurance company.
  • We have a written agreement with insurance companies and are paid directly by them when your repairs are completed.
  • We can arrange for a rental car to be available to you when your drop off your vehicle and arrange the pickup of your rental from our location as well.


McDonald Auto Body offers a lifetime warranty on all work performed, which covers repair work for as long as a customer owns the car.
